It went great. They were very professional but yet friendly. They were on time and very neat and thorough and cleaned up after themselves. Before starting they advised us about our plumbing problem that needed to be done first. We were glad to fix the problem before it became more serious. We would use them again and refer.

This is a great company. The only problem was that the price that we paid was their minimum and that is why I gave them a B. Our house is on the market and we were removing some coax cables but they twisted up with our TV cables in the living room area. When we pulled on them a 30 sq inch section of the ceiling caved in on top of our TV. I called a reapable dry waller that was recommended for his work, but he was totally booked up and with the house on the market we did not have the time to wait due to showings. Thor Construction was at the top of Angie's List. Thor came out and gave us the estimate that week and they repaired it on Sunday. The work was accomplished within the time quoted and it was excellent; I could not have asked for better results. The ceiling looks better today than it did before the work was done. We are very pleased.

These guys are excellent. They arrive on schedule, cover everything to protect your house, work quietly, are very honest and polite, and do really great work. The did a great job patching our walls after a rewire and were very respectful compared with others who don't take care to cover up parts of the house where they are working. And if they do have any issues, they clean up so you don't even think they were there, until of course you look at your walls and see their good work. Highly recommend. So happy they are located in Ontario.

We had a major water leak in an upstairs bathroom that required the removal of a section of wall as well as a large section of the ceiling downstairs. We were extremely concerned that the repair would match the existing surface. We called Thor after seeing his reviews on Angie's List and he came out to give us an estimate within the hour. He had his sons remove the area he marked and allowed the space to dry for about 4 weeks. He is very experienced in dealing with this type of repair and I'm certainly glad we called him. They arrived promptly at the appointed time to do the repair. The work was done in about 7 hours and the texture of the ceiling is absolutely perfect. We were afraid that it would be possible to see the new section, but they blended it in perfectly. We cannot say enough about them: prompt, highly professional, courteous and efficient, masked the area perfectly and left us a brand new ceiling, undetectable from before the flood. We would definitely hire him again.

Every morning, Thor McAndrew Construction was at the job site promptly. I was told what to expect throughout the process. These men are professional and thorough and know how to communicate to someone unfamiliar with the process. I did not need to keep calling them to make sure things were on track - they kept me informed and the work was on schedule. Now that the job is finished I can tell you it's beautiful. I even waited to write this in case I noticed something unexpected. I can find no fault with their work and I'm a type A personality who likes control. I'm also confident that if there were any misunderstandings, they would do what they could to make it right. If you don't have damage/repair, you may want to come up with a project just to have it done right and get a new look in your home. Thor McAndrew makes the process as painless as possible, including cleanup. I appreciate working with them. I would recommend Thor McAndrew Construction without reservation.

Moved or covered everything for us. Plastic sheeting everywhere. There is always dust with this type of project but the prep and work they put into just getting started really saves mess or loss of furniture, flooring, carpets or tile. So very courteous, always on time or have a phone call telling you there plans for the day. We had the plumbing company who did our bath room use their plaster repair person, before the job was even done I called Thor McAndrew Construction in a panic because of the awful job that was done, they came in and rescued the remodel within the day, and I have a beautiful bathroom because of the work they put in. (with no mess).

This business gets a 5 star! I highly recommend them for any drywall needs. This is their speciality. I had new drywall thru garage and house from previous water damage and the results are spectacular after orange peel they applied looks brand new! Reasonable prices. They are polite clean and neat. They are punctual as well.

I'd give this company 10 stars if I could! I called Thor McAndrew Construction following some unfinished tenant improvements in an office I recently leased. Plain and simple, the landlord failed to uphold his part of the deal and left me to fix the issue at my own cost. The McAndrew brothers arrived earlier than their appointment time and truly seemed to care about my concerns. They took their time to listen to what I needed done, and above all, they were respectful of the fact that I was having to foot the bill for the work. Cody offered me several options, and when I expressed my anxiety about the extent of the work and its overall cost, he took time out of his own busy schedule to do more research and offer me less expensive options without compromising the quality of the job...all this before even being hired to do the job! Words cannot express how professional, courteous, honest, and considerate the McAndrew brothers are. Quality company with an excellent work ethic...talk about a breath of fresh air!

From the initial call, Erik and Cody were fantastic. Came out for a same-day estimate, completed the work true to their pricing. Extremely nice, honest, professional gentlemen that did a fantastic job. I'd highly recommend them.

Cody and Erik were awesome. They told me the timeline and stuck to it. They showed up on time everyday, and were absolute professionals. The work they did was top notch. I am very picky and they got the job done right. They are the type of people I want working for me. Don’t hesitate to hire them.

Thank you Thor McAndrew for being professional and affordable! We are doing numerous construction work on our home following flooding from a broken pipe and I hit the jackpot with these drywallers. I called for a quote and they came out on time with no issues and went through the house listening to what I needed and measuring away, then they supplied me with my quote on the spot when they were finished. The quote was a little bit too general (not detailed) but in the end it didn't matter. I called them a few days later after choosing them over others and we scheduled an appointment and they showed up on time. They (Cody and his brother) were extremely professional and while they were not chatty the were definitely warm and friendly. They worked diligently and stay focused for the 2 days it took to complete the job. I swear they did not stop for anything... not coffee, water, nothing! They seemed to never tire and they never needed anything, bringing all their own supplies and took nothing more than a few very short breaks during their hard work. They took great care to keep everything covered and clean including putting sheets down over any carpeting and even vacuumed and mopped the floor when they completed the job. I would definitely use these guys again and recommend them as well. My only complaint would be that they have a minimum of $500 so I can't use them for very small jobs in the future... darn it.

I consider myself handy around the house until it comes to drywall. I was changing things around in my bathroom and upon evaluation of my initial mudding job, I decided to call someone who actually knew how to work a trowel. I called Thor McAndrew Construction because a previous Angie's List posting mentioned they would do small jobs. For me, it was a huge undertaking, but I think a professional would consider my job small. I gave Thor McAndrew a call and set up an appointment. Erik and Cody arrived before the pre-arranged time. After evaluating the bathroom and attached closet, I asked that my stairway and hallway be added to the bid. I removed the popcorn ceiling and the drywall really looked bad. I was somewhat prepared for the sticker shock, but it was close to what I estimated and I appreciated the details that justified the expense. I would rather have the cost up front then have to deal with project cost overruns after the job starts. I accepted the bid and set up an appointment. Erik and Cody arrived before the 7:30am prearranged time. The surrounding areas were sealed off as good as could be expected and they started the job. The job was completed about 6:00pm and the result was spectacular! The end result exceeded my expectations. I was so impressed, I asked for a bid on my laundry room and second bathroom. My house was a model home and during construction, the wallpaper was applied directly to the drywall. Taking off the wallpaper was impossible without severely damaging the drywall. Erik and Cody arrived a week later and spent another full day at my house. The bathroom and laundry room have never looked better. I am happy that I spent the money to make the improvements to my house. In addition, Erik and Cody cleaned up so well, you would never know they were there. As I scrape the ceilings and pull off the wallpaper, I will call these guys again without reservation.

Thor responded quickly to my email request for an estimate. He arrived on time and was very positive (we are in the midst of kitchen/bath reno & it's chaos in my house!). He was really thorough in his estimate, asked what we wanted to do with specific elements of the house, offered some great suggestions, and gave me an estimate on the spot. He listened and showed me how they could make my plan happen. He even clarified that we wore face masks when we did the demo because of the lead & asbestos in the walls (old house). His estimate was just a bit above what we had budgeted- we're reworking our budget to see if we can make it work. Super nice guy, totally knows what he's talking about, seems to do high quality work.

Thor did a fantastic job. They were on time and very professional throughout the whole process. They patched up several holes in the ceiling and matched the texture perfectly. It all blended in perfectly and I could not be happier.

I called for an estimate and they were able to schedule one very quickly. They were very prompt and gave me an estimate on site to scrape the original plaster popcorn ceilings in our house and then re-texture. They were very friendly and professional. Their estimate was high, which is the main reason that we didn't ultimately hire them.

These gentle giants were so professional. I had them repair drywall in my home after it had been re-piped. Quite a job. They covered the floor so their mess was contained and they cleaned up after themselves - even repaired the "popcorn" ceiling so that patch looks just like the rest. They even got along well with my dog. 5 star service!

Fantastic company to do business with, extremely professional. Recently had them do several drywall/plaster repairs in our home with great results. They were extremely careful to not get any dirt/dust etc anywhere, they even vacuumed the areas they had done work in. We are truly impressed with their work and the finished product. Will be sure to use them again if needed. Recently needed additional drywall/plaster repair work done and they were exceptional once again!

Promptly arrived & did estimate. I agreed to have work done but needed to find someone home during the week so I postponed the work. By the time I settled on a date, it was 2 weeks out, and no Friday open so we negogiated a week-end date. Completed in 3-4 hours. Room looks great!

Exceptional work. Cody and Eric McAndrew are professional, kind and extremely hard workers. The work they did was done on time and looks absolutely amazing. I had 1/2 my house drywalled and can't wait to have them back to do more. They drywalled ceilings and walls for me. I am so happy to come home and look at these walls and would recommend them to anyone who wants the best!

The provider was very prompt and did excellent work. They arrived exactly when they said they would be arriving and worked steadily throughour both days they were here. When they departed after working each day they left the house immaculate. I n fact they left the hardwood floors cleaner than it was when they arrived. While the price was quite a bit higher than another bid I received from someone not affiliated with Angie's List I decided to hire Thor McAndrew because of their affiliation and I am very happy I did.

The drywall installers arrived at the start time we had agreed upon. The went to work promptly and efficiently. After about 7 hours, I had beautiful new walls ready to paint.

Let me tell you these guys are FABULOUS! This is a family owned, and operated company that does dry wall, and they do it perfectly. My painters were going on and on about how good the texture was, and they couldn't even see the seams in the drywall! The young brothers were prompt to the second, professional, accommodated my need for heads up to secure my dog, polite, and my kitchen, which was being rebuilt after a leak, was cleaner when they left than when they arrived-- If you don't know, dry wall installation involves a LOT of dust and debris, but you would never have known by the looks of things when they were finished! I would recommend them to anyone who needs dry wall replaced, or repaired.

The guys were on time, friendly, clean, and did excellent work. I highly recommend and would definitely call them again. I only wish they painted & hung doors so the job could have been completed all at one time. But the work they did do was spot on.
