Cody and Erik were awesome. They told me the timeline and stuck to it. They showed up on time everyday, and were absolute professionals. The work they did was top notch. I am very picky and they got the job done right. They are the type of people I want working for me. Don’t hesitate to hire them.

Thor and his sons were on time and kept the job sight area very clean and neat. The work done was excellent and I have know complaints. When these guys were done with all of the work, my house seemed cleaner than when they began. They placed plastic sheeting up to limit any dust due to the drywall work. After having some poor drywall work done in the past, I believe you get what you pay for when you have drywall repairs done. Thor was one my highest bids but they were well worth it in my opinion.

If you are looking for good Drywallers, these guys are great! We just built a 840 sq ft Granny Flat and last year a two car garage with a workshop on the back. They did the drywall on both buildings. They did a great job and in the Granny Flat, we chose a flat wall surface. Our walls are smooth! They are very fast, efficient, and clean everything when they are done. They do a wonderful job with quality work!

Excellent. We are so very pleased with the repairs. These gentlemen were very professional. Kept everything clean as they worked and did an amazing job in matching the knockdown on the finished walls. Work completed on time. I highly recommend this company to everyone!!

Where do I start? These guys are absolutely amazing. Truly pros at what they do. The quality of work is the best I've seen yet. They were extremely accommodating while working within the schedule. Their pricing was more than fair, considering the level of work they performed. They were courteous when the job was completed by cleaning up after themselves. They never missed an appointment, always showing up when they promised, and on time. No drama when it came to adding additional fees that went beyond the agreed scope of the project. A fire sprinkler burst in our attic and flooded multiple rooms in our home. Once the demolition was done, we began the daunting task of finding people to put it back together. I reached out to several drywall companies with long waiting lists. The McAndrew Brothers responded within hours of my inquiry. They were very professional and timely scheduling an appointment. They arrived on time to inspect the ceiling, closet, and wall areas. Within 20 minutes, they wrote up a detailed estimate. We told them we would get back to them but ended up chasing them out the driveway since we were so impressed with their professionalism. They scheduled the work within a week. The work was a perfect match, high quality and clean. They are skilled at their craft and EXTREMELY professional. I highly recommend Thor McAndrews for drywall work.

Promptly arrived & did estimate. I agreed to have work done but needed to find someone home during the week so I postponed the work. By the time I settled on a date, it was 2 weeks out, and no Friday open so we negogiated a week-end date. Completed in 3-4 hours. Room looks great!

Excellent job, blended texture with existing walls was perfect

Thor and his son came out to provide an estimate on a drywall repair job. They came out later the same day I phoned for an estimate. They provided me with a quote of $750.00 (I used an Angie's List 5% discount) to replace damaged drywall, resurface and match the texture of the original surface. The day the work was scheduled to be performed, Thor and his two sons arrived as scheduled to complete the work. Thor provided work directions to his two sons and left them to complete the job. They secured the area, covered the floors, ceiling and walls to contain any debris and began their work. It was a small job that began at 8:00 AM and was completed at 11:30 AM. Upon completion, they showed me their work for approval. I was very pleased with the final work. His two sons work well together and they take pride in their work. They matched the original textured surface almost identical. Their bid was slightly higher than others but I saw the quality of work they provided in several photos on their website and read previous posts. I believe in paying for quality work and they did not disappoint. Thanks, guys!

Absolutely great. Cody and Eric, the two brothers who operate the company, were awesome from the very beginning when I called to get an estimate. Here's how it went beginning to end: 1) Phone call - answered and set appointment for estimate (same day) 2) Appointment for Estimate - on time and professional 3) Scheduled Job for 8:00am - arrived at 7:55am 4) Prep work - masked off and draped all work areas 5) The Job - Great, you would never know I had 18 holes in my walls/ceilings! 6) Clean up - Thorough and complete...like they were never here I probably shouldn't say this in a public form, but I had small 2 areas that were not quoted on during the estimate and the fixed them for free (don't tell them I shared that!). These guys did a great job, I would highly recommend them.

This is a great company. The only problem was that the price that we paid was their minimum and that is why I gave them a B. Our house is on the market and we were removing some coax cables but they twisted up with our TV cables in the living room area. When we pulled on them a 30 sq inch section of the ceiling caved in on top of our TV. I called a reapable dry waller that was recommended for his work, but he was totally booked up and with the house on the market we did not have the time to wait due to showings. Thor Construction was at the top of Angie's List. Thor came out and gave us the estimate that week and they repaired it on Sunday. The work was accomplished within the time quoted and it was excellent; I could not have asked for better results. The ceiling looks better today than it did before the work was done. We are very pleased.

This company did a fantastic job. The ceiling was in horrible shape with pieces of old paint and plaster dangling over the table. They scraped it all off down to the original base plaster which had had cracks and minor water damage. As I understood the explanation, they put a seal on the original plaster then put a nylon webbing over that to keep the new plaster from cracking. They then put four new layers of plaster on the ceiling. It looks terrific and is incredibly smooth. Unfortunately they don't paint so I have to get another contractor for that but they did explain what the painter should do to insure it's done right. We agreed on a 8am starting time and they arrived before 7:30am. The first thing they did was cover all the walls and curtains with plastic as well as the floor. They also covered the service porch floor to the back door so it would get any mess. When they were done and I went to check it out, I was amazed at how clean everything was. I figured I was going to have to mop the floor after they left but it was clean as a whistle and there wasn't any dust or debris that had gotten into the main kitchen. Even the curtains were still clean. I really, really appreciated that. Too bad other contractors aren't as fastidious about clean up. The two young men that did the work (sons of the owner Thor McAndrew) were very nice and friendly. I thanked them for taking on such a small job and they said they loved small jobs. A couple of other contractors weren't even interested. I've got other work that needs to be done and you can bet I will call this company again.

I was so impressed with these guys. They laid drop cloths all the way downstairs to protect the floors and carpet. They were quiet, respectful, did not get upset if I interrupted to ask a question, checked with me about details and my preferences. They left the job site and my house beautifully clean and the completed work was impeccable.

They were punctual and described what described the process they would use to repair the damaged area. Overall they did a great job.

Cody and Eric McAndrew continue to be the best drywall contractors in town. They just finished drywalling our foyer ceiling, master bedroom ceiling, shower ceiling and master bathroom wall. This is the second time we've used McAndrew Construction and Drywall, and the drywall work is perfect again. Not only is the work excellent, but so is their pricing-very, very fair. We've used over 5 different speciality subcontractors for our remodel, and they, Cody and Eric, have been the absolute best to work with. If you want your walls or ceilings to look absolutely great, at a reasonable price, call Cody and Eric. We highly recommend them.

Thor McAndrew Drywall had repaired some drywall in my garage last year because of a leaking water heater. I was very pleased with their work and so I didn't hesitate to contact them again when I needed more drywall repair due to a leaking roof. They kept me updated with their progress. They were punctual and very friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to my family and friends. They do great work!

These guys were great. I called for a quote on the weekend and they came by first thing on Monday morning, provided a reasonable written quote and told me they could do it all in one day. When I jokingly asked if they could start the next morning (which was Christmas Eve) they said yes. They arrived early but respectfully waited outside until I invited them in to start. They were fast, efficient, super clean and did an excellent job. When they got inside one wall that turned out to be more complicated than originally thought, I was afraid it would be more expensive and take longer than the one day but they were able to finish, clean up and be out of the house by 4:00 pm. Wow! Professional, personable, and quality workmanship all describe these guys.

The drywall installers arrived at the start time we had agreed upon. The went to work promptly and efficiently. After about 7 hours, I had beautiful new walls ready to paint.

Thor McAndrew was a referral from the company doing our bathroom remodel. What a great referral it was. We had demo'd our master bath down to the studs and these guys came in and made it look sterling! They showed up when they said they would, completed the days work when they said they would and cleaned up each day. The clean up and prep was important to me as the person who did the demo work did not put down any type of protective barrier on our floors and we had drywall dust for days. These guys made it look easy and really seemed to take pride and joy in the exceptional work they were doing. They went above and beyond to make our bathroom look great and functional. They will now be our go to folks for anything drywall related! Thanks Guys!!!

It went great. They were very professional but yet friendly. They were on time and very neat and thorough and cleaned up after themselves. Before starting they advised us about our plumbing problem that needed to be done first. We were glad to fix the problem before it became more serious. We would use them again and refer.

From the initial call, Erik and Cody were fantastic. Came out for a same-day estimate, completed the work true to their pricing. Extremely nice, honest, professional gentlemen that did a fantastic job. I'd highly recommend them.

I'd give this company 10 stars if I could! I called Thor McAndrew Construction following some unfinished tenant improvements in an office I recently leased. Plain and simple, the landlord failed to uphold his part of the deal and left me to fix the issue at my own cost. The McAndrew brothers arrived earlier than their appointment time and truly seemed to care about my concerns. They took their time to listen to what I needed done, and above all, they were respectful of the fact that I was having to foot the bill for the work. Cody offered me several options, and when I expressed my anxiety about the extent of the work and its overall cost, he took time out of his own busy schedule to do more research and offer me less expensive options without compromising the quality of the job...all this before even being hired to do the job! Words cannot express how professional, courteous, honest, and considerate the McAndrew brothers are. Quality company with an excellent work ethic...talk about a breath of fresh air!

They did an amazing job putting up drywall in my garage! When I asked for a quote, they showed up the same day and were very professional. They showed up at 7am on the dot and got to work. I highly recommend their work!

He came out the same day I called him. He was very knowledgeable; he knew his stuff and was to the point. The estimated price was $2800. I would rate him highly and would use him again in the future if necessary.

Fantastic company to do business with, extremely professional. Recently had them do several drywall/plaster repairs in our home with great results. They were extremely careful to not get any dirt/dust etc anywhere, they even vacuumed the areas they had done work in. We are truly impressed with their work and the finished product. Will be sure to use them again if needed. Recently needed additional drywall/plaster repair work done and they were exceptional once again!

Moved or covered everything for us. Plastic sheeting everywhere. There is always dust with this type of project but the prep and work they put into just getting started really saves mess or loss of furniture, flooring, carpets or tile. So very courteous, always on time or have a phone call telling you there plans for the day. We had the plumbing company who did our bath room use their plaster repair person, before the job was even done I called Thor McAndrew Construction in a panic because of the awful job that was done, they came in and rescued the remodel within the day, and I have a beautiful bathroom because of the work they put in. (with no mess).

Other than the color (for which we'll have a painter come in later) you can't even tell where the hole was. They worked quick & clean.

Professional, prompt and honest, they did everything I expect from workers in my home. I was delighted by the quality of the job, and the honesty of the bid. Highly recommended.

Exceptional work. Cody and Eric McAndrew are professional, kind and extremely hard workers. The work they did was done on time and looks absolutely amazing. I had 1/2 my house drywalled and can't wait to have them back to do more. They drywalled ceilings and walls for me. I consider myself handy around the house until it comes to drywall. I was changing things around in my bathroom and upon evaluation of my initial mudding job, I decided to call someone who actually knew how to work a trowel. I called Thor McAndrew Construction because a previous Angie's List posting mentioned they would do small jobs. For me, it was a huge undertaking, but I think a professional would consider my job small. I gave Thor McAndrew a call and set up an appointment. Erik and Cody arrived before the pre-arranged time. After evaluating the bathroom and attached closet, I asked that my stairway and hallway be added to the bid. I removed the popcorn ceiling and the drywall really looked bad. I was somewhat prepared for the sticker shock, but it was close to what I estimated and I appreciated the details that justified the expense. I would rather have the cost up front then have to deal with project cost overruns after the job starts. I accepted the bid and set up an appointment. Erik and Cody arrived before the 7:30am prearranged time. The surrounding areas were sealed off as good as could be expected and they started the job. The job was completed about 6:00pm and the result was spectacular! The end result exceeded my expectations. I was so impressed, I asked for a bid on my laundry room and second bathroom. My house was a model home and during construction, the wallpaper was applied directly to the drywall. Taking off the wallpaper was impossible without severely damaging the drywall. Erik and Cody arrived a week later and spent another full day at my house. The bathroom and laundry room have never looked better. I am happy that I spent the money to make the improvements to my house. In addition, Erik and Cody cleaned up so well, you would never know they were there. As I scrape the ceilings and pull off the wallpaper, I will call these guys again without reservation.

Thank you Thor McAndrew for being professional and affordable! We are doing numerous construction work on our home following flooding from a broken pipe and I hit the jackpot with these drywallers. I called for a quote and they came out on time with no issues and went through the house listening to what I needed and measuring away, then they supplied me with my quote on the spot when they were finished. The quote was a little bit too general (not detailed) but in the end it didn't matter. I called them a few days later after choosing them over others and we scheduled an appointment and they showed up on time. They (Cody and his brother) were extremely professional and while they were not chatty the were definitely warm and friendly. They worked diligently and stay focused for the 2 days it took to complete the job. I swear they did not stop for anything... not coffee, water, nothing! They seemed to never tire and they never needed anything, bringing all their own supplies and took nothing more than a few very short breaks during their hard work. They took great care to keep everything covered and clean including putting sheets down over any carpeting and even vacuumed and mopped the floor when they completed the job. I would definitely use these guys again and recommend them as well. My only complaint would be that they have a minimum of $500 so I can't use them for very small jobs in the future... darn it.
